IST's Outstanding Community Efforts for 2023

I am approaching the holiday with this quote in mind. From the beginning of IST, I knew that community service would be a part of our mission, and in our 26th year of business, that hope has solidified into a privilege we practice throughout the year. 

 

So far in 2023, IST's Gives Back program has accomplished the following:


  • We've donated 15 Chromebooks monthly to MUST Ministries' Hope House, helping students complete schoolwork and parents access critical online resources. In total, we've donated 130 Chromebooks. 


  • From March to May, we raised money to create over 50 care packages for Mothers staying at MUST Ministries' Hope House for Mother's Day.


  • We fundraised money for One Tree Planted, supporting urban reforestation for Arbor Day. 




  • In June, we collected 19 boxes and 13 bags of clothing, weighing in at 760 pounds for Lost-N-Found Youth Thrift Store, which uses the proceeds from their thrift store to support street outreach, a youth center, and transitional housing for unhoused LGBTQ+ youth. 


  • Most recently, we held a School Supplies Drive at Corporate, collecting six boxes (200 pounds) of supplies for Atlanta school children. 



What we've been able to accomplish together is astounding. What I initially hoped would manifest 26 years ago has returned tenfold, and we are a better company for it. 

 

In giving, we receive; at IST we can attest to this mindset. Our efforts to help our communities, not only at our corporate location in Atlanta but extending to every city IST touches, have made us a better team and emphasized the importance of our partnership. It's simple to sell a service; going beyond and leading with heart is a much greater challenge. I thank all those who are a part of our community outreach efforts, ensuring that the IST way doesn't stop with our services but extends to our culture.
