Chicago Team: Earth Month Spring Cleanup.
Celebrate Earth Month in Chicago by participating in your very own community Spring cleanup! In April, we encourage everyone to get outside and do some Spring cleaning; this is an easy and low-cost opportunity to give back and volunteer.
Did you know that human beings produce more than 2.1 billion tons of garbage every year? That’s enough to fill 822,000 Olympic-size swimming pools! If we don’t effectively dispose of this waste, it can cause serious harm to people, animals, and the planet.
Ways to get involved:
- Check with your local park district, township, churches, etc. for Spring cleaning activities

- Gather your family and friends, grab some trash bags and spend a few hours outdoors pulling weeds, picking up trash, or collecting recyclables in your neighborhood.
Anyone who shares a picture is entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of three $25 gift cards.
