developed the IST Kiosk application to enhance the package pick-up experience for Centralized Mailrooms. The system allows our customers to self-check-in once they arrive at the mail center. Once checked in, our customers can visually see the progress of receiving their package(s) on a large 60” Dashboard Pick-up Monitor. As soon as a customer checks in at the Kiosk, our IST Associates working in the back, out-of-house operations are notified by a printed ticket that lists all packages the customer has in the mail center for pick-up. At this time, an IST Associate pulls the ticket and retrieves the customer’s package(s) from shelving units in the mail center. Once all the package(s) are retrieved, The Package Pick-up Monitor will alert the customer to proceed to the Customer Service Station, where their package(s) are ready for pick-up.
The system captures all information electronically and creates a digital tag that allows parcel tracking from the moment it enters IST's hands to delivery time. IST integrates the IST Kiosk application with the client's existing badge systems and IST Package Track Software to resolve common bottlenecks in package distribution by automating the package check-out processes without sacrificing security.
