From Vendor to Strategic Partner

I was thinking about this the other day… there's a real difference between a company that shows up once to knock out a task and one that actually invests in where you're trying to go.

One is transactional. Surface-level. You get what you paid for, and that's about it. The other is a partnership. And partnership is where lasting success gets built.

The difference shows up in how we approach every single client at IST. Whether we're running operations for a national law firm across 15-plus offices or helping a university clear out the chaos in its mail centers, our clients don't hire us to check a box. They hire us to get it right. Every day. And to stay a step ahead while we're at it.

Here's what I've learned…Workplace Services are at their best when our teams become part of how a business actually runs. When I talk with our corporate clients, they tell me it's the small moments that matter most.

On their own, those moments feel minor. But they add up. They turn into the friction a team feels every single day. Our job is to catch that friction before it becomes a problem… and to give people a workplace that runs smoothly, makes collaboration easier, and treats every employee like they matter. One partner. One platform. One standard.

I would like to recognize the incredible effort and dedication demonstrated by the Mailroom team this week: Mike, Matt, Jim, Ryan, & Malikah. The team received a critical mailing consisting of 3,800+ letters. With an extremely tight deadline, they jumped into action, using mail merge to accurately address every letter, then printing, folding, stuffing, and labeling each piece for mailing. Despite the volume of work, they remained focused and organized throughout. They also continued to meet their daily responsibilities. On Thursday, they were asked to halt production and pivot to another urgent project with 500 highly critical letters that required the same level of attention and processing. Once again, the team rose to the challenge without hesitation. By Friday morning, both projects were completed and ready to go. This accomplishment is a testament to their teamwork, adaptability, professionalism, and commitment to delivering exceptional service, even under significant time constraints. I cannot thank them enough for their hard work and dedication. I am incredibly proud to work alongside such an amazing group of individuals who consistently step up, tackle challenges head-on, and deliver results when it matters most.”

Let's be honest… Litigation Support raises the stakes. After decades inside law firms, we know exactly what's on the line.

Our teams are trained specifically for that world. They work right alongside attorneys through complex matters, everything from IT consulting to Managed Review. And every now and then, a client takes the time to tell us how it landed:

"I wanted to take a moment to share how outstanding Sena Kleinbrink and the IST team were in supporting a very complex, time sensitive project last week on behalf of one of the Employment & Labor group's largest clients. This matter involves a multi year trade secret and non compete litigation with highly confidential discovery materials. As a result, it required an exceptionally large print effort… approximately 30 six inch binders of carefully organized materials… to be produced and shipped to Florida within a very tight deadline. During the second wave of printing, we encountered a significant system related issue that caused seven binders to be unusable due to missing confidentiality designations and Bates stamps. Sena and her team immediately jumped in to troubleshoot, resolve the issue, and keep both me and the legal team informed throughout the process.

That's what matters. Not just that the work got done, but how Sena and her team showed up when it got hard. What makes that possible is the combination of two things: our 5-star people and the technology we built to support them, like IST Suite. We didn't buy some off-the-shelf system. We built our own all-in-one service hub from years of real operational experience. Most vendors simply can't offer that kind of accountability, reporting, and visibility. We didn't get here by accident.

Here's what 29 years of providing Workplace and eDiscovery services has taught me… clients don't just remember what you deliver. They remember how you showed up. Whether you invested in their vision. Whether you saw the next problem coming before they did.

That's the line between a vendor and a true partner. And it's one this team earns every single day. To everyone who shows up and does that work… thank you. It's the reason clients trust us, and it's the reason I'm proud of what we've built together. Let's keep going… together.

Most people are comfortable using LinkedIn for networking. Connect with someone... like a few posts... maybe leave a comment... But, you know, creating successful thought leadership content centers on presenting a consistent point of view.
The Future of Service is Measurable

The expectations are higher. The pace is faster. And clients aren't just looking for someone to show up and check the box anymore. They want partners. They want people who can anticipate what's coming… and more importantly, show them the impact of what's actually being done.
A Company Focused on Excellence

If you don’t build something intentionally, day by day, you can’t expect long-term success to show up magically. We didn’t get here by accident. When I started IST almost 29 years ago with two employees in Atlanta, I didn’t have venture capital. I didn’t have debt.
