Your Voice Matters

In June 2020, IST Management launched its community outreach program, IST Gives Back. Since then, we’ve partnered with a diverse group of organizations nationwide through volunteerism, donations, and engagement. Our outreach initiatives encourage participation from our employees on the site, regional, corporate, and national levels.

 

In June 2021, IST Gives Back launched a survey asking our employees what they would like to see supported for future Passion Projects. We asked you what groups you felt most passionate about and what kind of programs would promote participation. Your feedback blew us away- a total of 171 IST employees responded and voiced their opinions! Thank you to everyone that participated in answering the survey. First of all, we look forward to incorporating your answers and serving new groups in new ways. Second, we are thrilled to hear that we are on track with the interests of our employee community at large with our past initiatives such as Operations Pets Alive (Animal Advocacy), Earth Month Spring Cleanup (Environment & Community Revitalization), Lost-n-Found Youth (LGBTQ+, Youth/Adolescence, & Homelessness), MUST Ministries (Homelessness & Youth/Adolescence), and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (Special Medical). We look forward to continuing these kinds of efforts as well as embarking upon new ones!

Participation is Key

Furthermore, the participation in June’s Lost-n-Found Passion Project was an overwhelming success. We received 29 boxes of donation items, weighing in at over 870 pounds of clothing and pantry items, as well as $400 cash donated online directly to Lost-n-Found Youth through their website.


Thank you to everyone who donated and participated in our most successful Passion Project yet! We look forward to incorporating your survey feedback into upcoming Passion Projects and continuing to grow and serve the IST Gives Back mission.

Access to the tools necessary to succeed makes a massive difference for school-aged children, and kids deserve to be kids. Doing well in school is one focus within the commitment to supporting and nurturing foster children, ensuring they are on a path to a thriving adult future.
