What an amazing IST Leadership Training Conference we had last month! The conference was a three-day event held at the Atlanta Marriott Gateway Hotel. We had 23 IST trainers and over 100 participants!
The topics for training included recruiting, management reports, leadership retention, implementation collaboration, marketing resources, social media, data security, operation expectations, accounting overview, travel and expense, renewal process, cross-selling, Kiosk technology, litigation support, and conference room management.
We also had four special guest speakers. Ike Reighard, IST’s Chief Ethics Officer and President & CEO of MUST Ministries, spoke about the Spirit to Serve, and Mark Pomerans, Business Development Multivendor Solutions at Hewlett-Packard, UPS account, spoke about Ways Vendors Can Exceed Expectations. Sandy Grimm, Chief Legal Officer, Southwestern Grocers, spoke to IST employees about Ways Vendors Can Exceed Expectations, and Melvin Evans, Director of IT at Hand Arendall Harrison Sale, talked about Ways Vendors Can Exceed Expectations. Our speakers were engaging and knowledgeable, and I know we learned a lot from them.
Our Employee Recognition Event on Saturday night was incredible. We had 275 people attend this event and 84 employees whom IST recognized for various categories, including our Implementation Excellence Award, Operational Excellence Award, Site Manager Eagle Award, and Service Awards, ranging from 10 to 25 years of service.
After dinner and the awards, we capped off the night by having a Glow Party and danced the night away! Everyone was decked out in fluorescent, neon colors glowing under the dark lights. I think it's safe to say we had a blast!
Thank you to Lori Mitchum, Brad Burgess, and their teams for making this an incredibly successful leadership and recognition conference. Thank you for all that you do. I'm looking forward to the next 25 years of spectacular growth!
