IST-Mail Sort & Package Track


IST-Mail Sort & Package Track is a proprietary, custom, Web-based application used to track and account for all incoming packages.  It speeds mail sorting and provides information needed to allocate back the costs of mailroom operations to those individuals and departments who have the highest volumes of incoming mail.

  • Proprietary Voice Recognition for Mail Sort - IST provides the most advanced voice recognition systems in the industry today.  IST created its own voice-rec software and combines it with high-grade headsets and 40” monitors at no additional cost to customers. Since implementing, IST has cut mail sorting times by 50% and consistently achieved accuracy ratings above 99%.  This is just one of many commitments IST has made to being the leader in Facilities Management Services.
  • Barrel Stamping - IST has the ability to capture all of the information about a piece of certified mail through enhancing our proprietary Mail Sort/ Package Track software with barrel stamping functions.  When a piece of certified mail is sent out, the barrel stamp is scanned into the system and information about the sender and receiver is entered into IST’s secure database.  The piece of mail is then sent to the post office and stamped with a barrel stamp.  When the mail is stamped, a receipt is returned to the mailroom, the image of the barrel stamp is scanned by IST using IST-Palm units into our system and an email is automatically sent to the sender of the mail.  If a return receipt is required on this mail item, the return receipt will be scanned upon its arrival back to the mailroom and a second email will be sent to the sender.  In this way, IST is further reinforcing accountability in certified mail.
  • Mail Stop Barcoding - IST has implemented barcoding systems at our customer sites that ensure that IST associates perform mail runs with the efficiency that a fast paced business enterprise needs.  Upon implementation, IST places small barcode stickers at each mail drop/pickup locations.  IST creates a set schedule for mail runs and requires our associates to scan each and every bar coded mail stop on each run at the exact same time every day – no excuses.  In this way, accountability for IST associates is increased and IST customer employees can depend on IST no matter what.
